2026 Breeders' Cup Post Positions, Fields and Morning Lines
Every 2026 Breeders' Cup race at Keeneland, Oct. 30-31: post positions, jockeys, trainers, morning-line odds and draw notes, from the Juvenile Turf Sprint to the Classic.
The draw for the 2026 Breeders' Cup World Championships was held Monday, Oct. 26. Below are post positions, jockeys, trainers and morning-line odds for all 14 Grade 1 races at Keeneland, run Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31. It is the fourth time Keeneland has hosted the Breeders' Cup (2015, 2020, 2022). The two days carry more than $34 million in purses and awards, and 186 horses were entered, 62 of them from outside the U.S.
Friday is Future Stars Friday, five races for 2-year-olds. Saturday has nine races and closes with the $7 million Classic. Post times are Eastern. Morning lines are the track oddsmaker's estimate, not the betting, and scratches and also-eligibles can change fields before race day. Always confirm with the official program.
Friday: Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint
5 1/2 furlongs, turf, 2-year-olds, $1 million. Post time 2:55 p.m. ET.
| Post | Horse | Jockey | Trainer | ML |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Moonrise | Oisin Murphy | Andrew Balding | 12-1 |
| 2 | Good to Be King | Jose Ortiz | Rusty Arnold | 12-1 |
| 3 | Libertango | Flavien Prat | George Boughey | 5-2 |
| 4 | Brickyard Belle | Manny Franco | Miguel Clement | 3-1 |
| 5 | Mussab | Oisin Orr | Richard Fahey | 15-1 |
| 6 | Velozee | Tyler Gaffalione | Paddy Twomey | 20-1 |
| 7 | Crownbreaker | John Velazquez | Kevin Philippart De Foy | 20-1 |
| 8 | Force Noir | David Egan | Robson De Aguiar | 8-1 |
| 9 | Final Objective | James Doyle | Hamad Al Jehani | 8-1 |
| 10 | Harper's Corner | Paco Lopez | Cathal Lynch | 8-1 |
| 11 | Hell of a Spin | Mikey Sheehy | Adrian Paul Keatley | 15-1 |
| 12 | Primetime Emmy | Mickael Barzalona | Francis-Henri Graffard | 15-1 |
Also-eligibles (run only if scratches open a spot): Ruiva (12-1), Wood Island (15-1), Adonius (12-1), Love a Warrior (30-1), Fanshell Beach (30-1).
Morning-line favorite Libertango (5-2) and second choice Brickyard Belle (3-1) drew side by side in posts 3 and 4, inside the 12-horse field. At 5 1/2 furlongs there is little time to recover ground, so the outside draws (11 and 12) face the longest trip. Five also-eligibles are listed and would only draw in if horses scratch.
Friday: Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies
1 1/16 miles, dirt, 2-year-old fillies, $2 million. Post time 3:35 p.m. ET.
| Post | Horse | Jockey | Trainer | ML |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Scarlett Begonia | Manny Franco | Brad Cox | 20-1 |
| 2 | Domain Expansion | Adrian Escobedo | Leonard Powell | 6-1 |
| 3 | Foxiest | Junior Alvarado | Brad Cox | 15-1 |
| 4 | Rum Twist | John Velazquez | Mark Hennig | 15-1 |
| 5 | Miss Monica | Flavien Prat | Bob Baffert | 5-2 |
| 6 | Revenge of the Sis | Edgard Zayas | George Weaver | 20-1 |
| 7 | Lexi's Charm | Jose Ortiz | Mark Casse | 15-1 |
| 8 | Manuka Honey | Luis Saez | Brian Lynch | 10-1 |
| 9 | Badittude | Joel Rosario | Todd Pletcher | 30-1 |
| 10 | Emphatic | Tyler Gaffalione | Brendan Walsh | 9-5 |
| 11 | Voyager | Javier Castellano | Mark Casse | 12-1 |
| 12 | Life Changing | Juan Hernandez | Todd Pletcher | 30-1 |
Favorite Emphatic (9-5) drew post 10 of 12, while second choice Miss Monica (5-2) is in the middle at post 5. At 1 1/16 miles on the Keeneland dirt, the start comes shortly before the first turn, so outside horses like Emphatic need to either break sharply or be taken back and saved ground.
Friday: Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf
1 mile, turf, 2-year-old fillies, $1 million. Post time 4:15 p.m. ET.
| Post | Horse | Jockey | Trainer | ML |

| 14 | Ballinea Star | Tyler Gaffalione | Robson De Aguiar | 30-1 |
Also-eligibles (run only if scratches open a spot): Silent Beauty (30-1), Luminous Beauty (30-1), Quibbler (30-1).
Heavy favorite Sun Goddess (6-5) drew post 9 and second choice Amusingly (7-2) is right beside her in post 10. Sun Goddess comes in off a win in the Cheveley Park, and HRN notes this will be her first race beyond seven furlongs. Green Empress, the Prix Marcel Boussac winner, has the rail.
Friday: Breeders' Cup Juvenile
1 1/16 miles, dirt, 2-year-olds, $2 million. Post time 4:55 p.m. ET.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Damavand | Luis Saez | Todd Pletcher | 20-1 |
| 2 | Gaudreau | Manny Franco | Chad Brown | 8-1 |

| 7 | Coach Pope | Jose Ortiz | Kenny McPeek | 4-1 |
| 8 | He Is No Lie | Joel Rosario | Doug O'Neill | 15-1 |
Only eight runners, which is a small field for this race. Even-money favorite Hughes drew post 5, with American History (6) and Coach Pope (7) just outside him. Bob Baffert has two in the race, Hughes and Salahudin (post 3).
Friday: Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf

| 13 | Agate | Tyler Gaffalione | Kelsey Danner | 10-1 |
| 14 | Great Barrier Reef | Ryan Moore | Aidan O'Brien | 4-1 |
Also-eligibles (run only if scratches open a spot): Popcorn (20-1).
Favorite How's Al Today (3-1) has a good middle draw in post 5. Aidan O'Brien runs four, and his main hope by morning line, Great Barrier Reef (4-1), drew the far outside post 14. In a full one-mile turf race, a wide draw makes it harder to save ground on the first turn.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint
7 furlongs, dirt, fillies and mares 3 and up, $1 million. Post time 1:10 p.m. ET.
| Post | Horse | Jockey | Trainer | ML |

| 12 | Kilwin | Javier Castellano | Rusty Arnold | 8-1 |
| 13 | Nooni | Mario Gutierrez | Bob Baffert | 30-1 |
Favorite Ways and Means (7-5) drew post 2. In a 13-horse sprint that means she will need to break well so she doesn't get pinned inside. Second choice Explora (4-1) and Kilwin (8-1) are in posts 11 and 12, near the outside.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint

| 13 | Starlust | Rossa Ryan | Ralph Beckett | 20-1 |
| 14 | Miss Yechance | Jack Nicholls | Karl Burke | 15-1 |
Also-eligibles (run only if scratches open a spot): Big Mojo (20-1), No Nay Hudson (15-1), Doncho (20-1), Outfielder (30-1).
Favorite Bacio (5-2), who won the Nunthorpe, drew post 3, and Comanche Brave (3-1), who won the Flying Five, is in post 7. That puts the two European Group 1 sprint winners in the inside half of the gate. Defending champion Shisospicy is in post 2, Cy Fair in post 10 and Starlust in post 13.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile
1 mile, dirt, 3-year-olds and up, $1 million. Post time 2:26 p.m. ET.

| 10 | Owen Almighty | Luis Saez | Brian Lynch | 10-1 |
| 11 | Iron Man Cal | Tyler Gaffalione | Philip D'Amato | 12-1 |
Favorite Further Ado (2-1) drew the rail. At one mile on dirt, the rail horse has to clear the field or risk getting boxed in. Bracket Buster (7-2) is in post 7, and defending champion Full Serrano is in post 3.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf
1 3/16 miles, turf, fillies and mares 3 and up, $2 million. Post time 3:04 p.m. ET.

| 14 | Stellify | Flavien Prat | Brad Cox | 12-1 |
| 15 | Vina Arana | Adam Beschizza | Jack Sisterson | 30-1 |
The top two in the morning line both drew outside: Blue Bolt (5-2) in post 12 and Precise (7-2) in post 11. In a 15-horse race around two turns, outside horses usually have to give up ground or position early. Note: one published field lists Vina Arana in both this race and the Mile. Check official scratches and program numbers on race day.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Sprint

| 12 | Stradale | Flavien Prat | Steve Asmussen | 20-1 |
| 13 | Englishman | Jose Ortiz | Cherie DeVaux | 4-5 |
Odds-on favorite Englishman (4-5) drew the far outside post 13. In a six-furlong sprint, an outside post lets a horse see the speed inside it without getting shuffled back, but if it gets caught wide on the turn it gives up ground. Japan's T O Elvis (7-2) is right beside him in post 11.

| 14 | Puerto Rico | Ryan Moore | Aidan O'Brien | 10-1 |
| 15 | Vina Arana | Adam Beschizza | Jack Sisterson | 30-1 |
Defending champion Notable Speech (7-5) drew post 8, right in the middle. Aidan O'Brien's pair, True Love (12) and Puerto Rico (14), drew outside, and Lake Forest (6-1) has an inside spot in post 2. One published field lists Vina Arana as post 15 here as well as in the Filly & Mare Turf. Treat that entry as unconfirmed until the official program is out.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Distaff

| 8 | Splendora | Tyler Gaffalione | Bob Baffert | 9-2 |
| 9 | Eunomia | Micah Husbands | Saffie Joseph Jr. | 30-1 |
There are only nine runners, and the race shapes up as a two-horse duel on the morning line. Nitrogen (6-5) drew post 2 and Fully Subscribed (8-5) drew post 4, so both have inside draws. Defending champion Super Corredora is in post 7 and Splendora is in post 8.

| 14 | Deep Monster | Tom Marquand | Yasutoshi Ikee | 30-1 |
Also-eligibles (run only if scratches open a spot): Map of Stars (20-1), Telescopic (30-1).
The favorites drew wide. Diamond Necklace (3-1) is in post 12 and Bay City Roller (5-1) is in post 13. At 1 1/2 miles there is more time to work out a trip than in the shorter turf races. Defending champion Ethical Diamond has the rail.
Saturday: Breeders' Cup Classic
1 1/4 miles, dirt, 3-year-olds and up, $7 million. Post time 6:16 p.m. ET.
| Post | Horse | Jockey | Trainer | ML |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | T O Password | Kazushi Kimura | Daisuke Takayanagi | 30-1 |
| 2 | Sovereignty | Junior Alvarado | Bill Mott | 5-2 |

| 7 | Knightsbridge | Luis Saez | Bill Mott | 9-2 |
| 8 | Napoleon Solo | John Velazquez | Chad Summers | 15-1 |
Defending champion Forever Young (2-1) drew post 5 as he tries to become the second back-to-back Classic winner, after Tiznow (2000-01). Horse of the Year Sovereignty (5-2) is in post 2 and 2026 Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo (5-1) is in post 3. It is the first Classic with two Derby winners since 1991. One handicapping outlet pointed out that the three likeliest pace horses, Magnitude, Knightsbridge and Napoleon Solo, drew side by side in posts 6, 7 and 8, which could set up a contested early pace outside the favorites.
